Abigail S. David, M.S., CCC/SLP
Co-Founder/Co-Executive Director
Abby has extensive experience as a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist treating children with autism in the areas of speech and language development with a focus on social/pragmatic language skills, receptive and expressive language development, and articulation.
Erin K. Nealy, MT-BC
Co-Founder/Co-Executive Director
Erin began her career as a practicing board-certified Music Therapist, serving upwards of 100 children at her own private practice, Hugs & Harmony. presented on the topics of autism, music therapy, special education, and the arts in a variety of locations.
Together, Abby and Erin founded Helping Hands Center for Special Needs in 2005. They each had a desire to help to create a more integrated approach to the way that families in central Ohio were piecing together different therapy and education services for children with autism and developmental disabilities, and knew there had to be a better way. In 2016, they changed the organization’s name to Bridgeway Academy, to better reflect the depth of programming and scale of the organization. Today, under their leadership, Bridgeway Academy serves over 300 students and clients, employs over 200 full-time staff, and maintains a budget of over $10 million annually.

Carol is a seasoned administrator with over 20 years of experience in the Columbus non-profit community. As Director of Advancement, she provides oversight for the organization's philanthropic and communication efforts and strategies. She has been at Bridgeway Academy for nearly eight years.
